1988 delivers the most danceable and head-banging "big hair" hits of the 1980s. While some tribute bands lean into over-the-top, clownish theatrics, 1988 stays true to the spirit of the era, paying respectful tribute to legendary acts such as Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Poison, Mötley Crüe, Guns N' Roses, and Journey. The result is a high-energy show that recreates what you might have experienced on Hollywood's Sunset Strip at the height of the 80s metal explosion.

At its core, 1988 is all about pleasing the crowd - delivering dance-floor anthems while staying rooted in the sound and attitude of 80s hard rock. And of course, no 80s show would be complete without the era's iconic monster ballads. Every 1988 performance features several of the biggest power ballads of the decade. For the true hard-rock aficionados, the band also unleashes head-banging classics from Quiet Riot, Twisted Sister, Europe, Whitesnake, and more.

In 2026, 1988 proudly welcomes back Alex Schreckengost and Jimi Frankito to the lineup. To celebrate, the band is rolling out a series of "Battle of the Bands"-style events at select shows throughout the year. These crowd-interactive nights pit mini-sets of the biggest 80s bands against each other, with the audience voting at the end to crown the ultimate winner.

Another former 1988 vocalist, THOMAS SHANE BRADY, will be filling in for several dates throughout 2026.

An opportunity to see 1988 is not to be missed. Whether you lived through the 80s or wish you had, this is the closest thing to stepping back in time - louder, tighter, and more electric than ever.
